How To Use Brother Printer To Print

You can print a document or a photo using your Brother printer. Before printing any media using your Brother printer, make sure you have loaded the correct media in the input tray on your Brother printer.

Printing a Photo from your Windows computer:

Follow the instructions below to print a photo on your Brother printer from your Windows computer.

  • On your Windows computer, open the photo you wish to print.
  • Then, select the print command either by pressing Ctrl+p or from the print menu on the desktop application.
  • In the Print Settings window, select your Brother printers model name.
  • Click on the Printing Properties or Preferences button.
  • Load the photo paper in the input tray of the Brother printer.
  • In the Printing Preferences window, under the Basic tab, set the Media Type, Paper Quality, Paper Size, Color Mode, Orientation, Copies appropriately.
  • After this, if you are ready to print, then click the OK button at the bottom of the window to complete the printing.

Printing a document from your Windows computer:

Carry out the below steps to print a document on your Brother printer from your Windows computer.

  • Open your document and select the print option.
  • Select your Printer model and open the Printing Preferences window.
  • Load the paper on the input tray of your printer.
  • Now, in the Printing Preferences window, under the Basic tab, select the Media Type from the drop-down list.
  • Specify the Paper Size in the corresponding field.
  • Similarly, set the Color Mode, Paper Orientation, and the number of copies to print.
  • Finally, click OK to print the document.

Printing automatically on each side of the paper:

To print on both the sides of the paper automatically on your Brother printer, perform the steps given below.

  • Open the document to be printed and select the print option in the application.
  • Set the paper to print on the Brother printer.
  • Open the Print Preferences and set the fields under the Basic tab.
  • Click on the 2-sided / Booklet option. From the drop-down list, select the 2-sided option.
  • In the 2-sided settings window, from the available options, select the one which you prefer for your print document.
  • You can also specify the Binding Offset for your document.
  • When you have set the options on the Printing Preferences, click the OK button to print.

Note: While using this method to print on both sides automatically, you cannot use the Borderless feature for your print document.

Printing photos from the USB Flash Drive:

You can print a photo directly from the USB flash drive on your Brother printer by trying the below steps.

  • Insert your USB Flash Drive that comprises the photos into the USB port on the Brother printer.
  • Tap the JPEG Print and then Select Files.
  • On the LCD, swipe to view the photo.
  • To print all the photos on the USB Flash Drive, press the Print All option and click Yes.
  • Else, select the photo you want to print, set the number of copies, and press OK.
  • Confirm the options displayed.
  • Finally, press Start to initiate the printing.
