BROTHER HL L3230CDW NOT PRINTING

If your printer is not printing or has stopped printing, follow the steps below to resolve the problem.

Delete print jobs from the print queue:

  • On your computer, click Start > All apps > Windows System and then click Control panel.
  • Click Hardware and Sound and then select Devices and Printers.
  • Search for your printer.
  • Right-click on your Brother HL L3230CDW printer.
  • Select See what’s printing.
  • Select the Printer menu at the top left corner in the menu bar.
  • Select Cancel All Documents and then click Yes.
  • Note: You can also cancel multiple print jobs.

Ensure that your Brother HL L3230CDW printer is turned ON and there are no errors displayed on the printer’s LCD. Ensure that your Brother printer is properly connected to your computer.

Setting the printer as Set as default printer:

  • On your computer, go to the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound.
  • Select Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your Brother printer.
  • Select Set as default printer from the available list.

Check that the printer is Online:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound.
  • Select Devices and Printers.

  • Ensure that your printer and mobile device are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Ensure that you’ve installed the application on your mobile device.
  • From the list of applications on your mobile device, select the Brother HL L3230CDW iPrint and Scan icon.
  • Select your Brother machine.
  • Once you’ve completed the above procedure, start working again using the application and check if the problem is resolved or not.

If the printer’s control panel displays an error indicating that there is a paper jam, follow these steps:

  • Remove the jammed paper from the manual feed slot and reload them.

Removing the jammed paper from the paper tray:

  • Open the paper tray from the printer.
  • Take out the jammed paper from it.
  • Close the paper tray.

Removing the jammed paper from inside the machine:

  • Open the top cover of your printer.
  • Take out the toner cartridges and drum unit assemblies.
  • Remove the jammed paper.
  • Reinsert the toner cartridges and drum unit assemblies.
  • Close the printer’s top cover.

  • If the paper is curled or wavy, select the Remove Paper Curl mode in the printer driver. This should resolve the issue.
